Pakistan Through My Eyes

Pakistan Through My Eyes

(satpara lake- Skardu Pakistan)

A lot is said about Pakistan in the international media these days. Analysts talk about how Pakistan is a  terrorist or a rogue state. They fear that with the rising extremism in Pakistan coupled with her nuclear arms the country poses a serious threat to the safety of the world. The world however I believe has forgotten that Pakistan is a nation of 20 billion people and not all of whom are terrorists. This essay does not counter the arguments presented on all the things wrong about Pakistan, but is a small effort to highlight a few good things about Pakistan.
Pakistan is a very diverse nation. There are about 100 different languages spoken in Pakistan with many different cultures throughout each of our provinces. The food the clothing the lifestyle of the people of Pakistan varies significantly throughout the country. The diversity of this nation is not only restricted to its people. Pakistan has 4 seasons making its suitable for many types of tourism, her beautiful lush green valleys in the spring, her 814 Km long coastline in the summers and her majestic ski slopes in the winter are a mecca for local tourists and there is no reason why they cannot be the same for international tourists. There are few countries in the world with so much diversity in its temperatures, but in Pakistan one can find temperatures from 50 centigrade to -50 centigrade. The natural beauty of Pakistan’s mountains, desserts and coast are second to none. Of the 14 eight thousanders i.e. peaks greater than 8000m, 5 are in Pakistan including K-2 the second highest peak in the world.
Like all nations Pakistan too has produced some exceptional individuals but the media never focuses on them. Dr. Abdul Salam the first and only Pakistani to win a Noble prize for his work in electroweak interaction which is the unified description of strong force and weak force which are 2 of the 4 fundamental interactions in nature. He was a brilliant scientist respected across the globe and was a proud Pakistani. Abdul Sattar Edhi perhaps the greatest philanthropist and humanitarian of our time to this day, the Edhi Foundation continues to grow it is the largest welfare organization in Pakistan. The Edhi Foundation has rescued over 20,000 abandoned infants. It also runs over three hundred and thirty welfare centers in rural and urban Pakistan which operate as food kitchens, rehabilitation homes, shelters for abandoned women and children and clinics for the mentally handicapped.Edhi himself is a very modest man who lives in a small two bedroom apartment in Karachi Edhi is someone that all human beings no matter what their nationality or religion can be proud of as he selflessly serves humanity. Arfa Karim a Pakistani student in 2004 became the youngest Microsoft certified professional at the age of nine. She was invited by Bill Gates himself to visit the headquarters of Microsoft. She was such an asset that when she was suffering from cardiac failure in 2012 Bill Gates personally told her doctor to take all necessary measures, this shows how much of an asset she was unfortunately she is no longer with us.
Pakistan has abundant natural resources. The province of Balochistan is very rich in minerals and fossil fuels. There are reserves of natural gas and oil. The north has proven reserves of precious gems such as rubies and emeralds. The Balochistan plateau has proven reserves of gold and copper. The world has its eyes set on Gwadar due to its deep and warm water ports which have the capacity to serve central Asia China and Russia. If we could focus more on these perhaps one day Pakistan will be an investor’s paradise instead of being a terrorist paradise.
Now with this article I do not suggest that there are no problems in Pakistan but we are trying to solve those problems and if only the world knew what Pakistan and Pakistanis are worth than perhaps everyone will do their effort to solve the problems of Pakistan. We want the people of our country to finsih the negativity about our country and after that we will create the awareness internationally. We are the nation of the fastest century, we are a nation of passion. I do not ask you to consider us as the best nation in the world, but I ask you to see us in a way we deserve. With respect and honour.

Islam and Terrorism

Terrorism is one of the burning issues of our age. Terrorism has destroyed the world-peace. Every day, a large number of people are caught and killed because of terrorism. All countries of the world are trying to up-root terrorism but it is increasing day by day.
Who is the real terrorist? All over the world, the Muslims are blamed as terrorist and extremists. Is it true? Not at all.The facts are otherwise.
It is agreed on all hands that Islam means peace and submission to Allah and Holly prophet (PBUH). Islam is not involved in any kind of bloodshed, violence and terrorism. It is interesting to note that there is no consensus about the true concept of terrorism.
Terrorism means "The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons." And extremism means "Ideas or actions which are not normal, responsible or acceptance to most people"
According to the definition, the Muslims cannot be called terrorist or extremists, because a Muslim cannot be a terrorist and a terrorist cannot be a Muslim. The Holy prophet said, "He is not one of us who does not show tenderness to his younger's and respect to his elders."
Today only the Muslims are the target of the worst type of terrorism. Muslims are condemned and crushed by media terrorism, economic terrorism and by state terrorism all over the world. There is a law in the world that when any country tries to oppress other country or a group tries to dominate others by violence, there should be a resistance against the oppressors and the terror-stricken should be helped. But no one has paid heed to this law. The Kashmir's are struggling for freedom against Indian oppressors, but all the world is ignoring this issue. In Palestine every day the target killing of the Muslims is common phenomena. The UN says that "the masses should be given basic right and they should not be deprived of human right and liberties". Everyone should have the right of self defense. No one mentions the terroristic activities of Hindus in Sri-Lanka, Christians in the whole world and Jews in Palestine. The image of Islam in west has been tarnished. There has been a stream of books with the titles such as, "The dagger of Islam", "The militant Islam", "The rage of Islam". Television has been showing multi-part series entitled "Terror in the name of Allah", which depicts the western mentality about Islam.
The UN has become the puppet in the hand of the United States, they are trying to condemn and crush all those who are the enemies of their interest. They are obscuring the definition of terrorism. When UN has failed to differentiate between terrorism and freedom struggle. It is no longer a war against terrorism ,it is a war between barbarism of west and the eastern civilization. The Christianity is restricted to church and they also want Islam to be confined to the mosques.
The Islamic civilization has given the world real civilization. Today uncultured and uncivilized people are trying to teach us morality and manners. Our history is replete with the examples of tolerance, forbearance and humanity. There are 1.3 billion Muslims in the world. Every fifth man walking on the globe is a Muslim. The future of mankind cannot be peaceful until the west and Islam try to co-exist peacefully. And they can only co-exist if both let the other live according to their beliefs, cultures, traditions, laws and social norms. If both can only then can there be peace and co-existence between two.
Economics imbalance is one of the factors which is creating an acute sense of deprivation among the masses. I this age there is gap or gulf between the rich and the poor, and this factor is creating hatred and violence against each other and causing terrorism.  Electronic media and print media are causing economic and sexual starvation. Most of the governments are under the control of other countries, people of the country want something and they are provided with something other. This factor produces a sense of insecurity and people rise against it which causes a violence and terrorism.
The enemies of Islam should know that Jihad is not a kind of terrorism. Jihad means to make  utmost struggle or to strive very hard but they are ignorant of the nature and influence of Jihad. Jihad is relentless war against aggression, oppression, poverty ignorance and all social evils and without the country . It is a holy war against all social evils, a freedom moment of the poor, the destitute and the down trodden. Islam did not spread because of war but inspire war.

The irony of the fate is that those who violated the rights of Asian and African countries for their own benefits and for the resources of oil and gas of Muslim countries are clamoring to fight against terrorism. What they have done in Vietnam, Afghanistan an in Iraq.
 All I can say is
"Those who live in glass houses don't throw stone on others."

Bringing Positive Change in Pakistan

Bringing Positive Change in Pakistan
By Bisman Shaukat

I was thinking, that how we can change Pakistan in a positive way??? What can the youth do for making Pakistan a safe homeland where equality can rule and injustice can be eradicate??? I am such a person who always wants to contribute in society in a positive way. I want to change so many things; but I couldn’t find any platform for that. I always wish that someday I could do anything for the people that want our help. I am not the only one who think in this way but I am sure that half of the youth want to do something which could bring change in our country and we have experience the passion of our youth in the time of earthquake and it is the best example of unity and patriotism for the country and its people.
Youth can bring change in the society if they were allowed to do something, but from where we should get started. Is there any platform for the youth to just get together for any cause and the answer is no. Unfortunately in Pakistan no such organization has been formed for the youth which could motivate our future generation in such positive way that can bring change in our society. There is no concept of services rendered by our youth because such activities are not being supported or praised. Most of the people are thinking that what we can do, but if want a change in the society so we have to come out and start working on any cause together without any discrimination.
In my point of view our youth doesn’t lacks in ideas of changing our society but proper guidance is not being provided to us. We should start bringing change from our home and housing society, there should be a volunteer student committee in every housing society, school, colleges and university of Pakistan and they should be supported by their elders for the services they provide for bringing a change. What the youth can do we could make a contributing in spreading education in rural areas; we could do something for children engaged in child labor. There are so many ways through which we could bring change in society and only in this way Pakistan will be survived.
Youth ministry is there in Pakistan but without planning, even so many youth do not even aware of what actually youth ministry is. They can engage youth in every project so that we should be aware of our capabilities and achievement.
Pakistan media is booming and ruling on every person educating about every aspect of life but they are doing nothing for youth. They could provide such platform in which they can hire the services of youth in highlighting and solving different problems of society and the result will definitely be good. Through this we could also control the rising violence among youngsters because of no work if the youth of Pakistan will be engaged in productive work so, it will bring change also and our society will be saved from further destruction.

Alternate Pakistan

Current prevailing situation in our beloved country is a matter of concern for all of us, political unrest, energy crises, declining foreign exchange reserves, out flow of investments and above all, alarming increase in violence are posing a real threat to economic and social stability in Pakistan. Our problems are deep rooted and require a lot of struggle and hardship to overcome.
Pakistan has so much potential and resources but due to corruption, less awareness, illiteracy we cannot develop. Pakistan may become a developed country if several things happen. The government becomes less corrupt, and the money the USA gives to Pakistan should be used for good causes, such as water treatment, improving literacy, fixing the electricity, etc. Second, the people of Pakistan should be willing to change, and they should work hard for it. They should become more accepting of others, as well as their religions (whether they are Sunni Muslims, Shia Muslims, or even atheist). Third, the youth should take charge and become the future non-corrupt politicians, doctors, teachers, engineers, scientists, etc. Third, Pakistan should enter the market, and be known for something distinct that the whole world uses. Look at South Korea, only 58 years have passed since the Korean War has ended, and they have become such a modern, hard-working country. Each day countries like Korea, Germany are becoming self-sufficient. They have good plan and brilliant universities which is closely working with industries. For instance, In Germany, their students are the one developing satellites. We should provide our students great opportunities so they can participate as much as they want.
If we use our own resources properly we can overcome our energy crisis. Our country that faces a severe energy crisis has the potential to generate power supply for the next 100 years by utilizing its own coal reserves. This coal utilization can save four billion dollars by reducing oil import costs.
It is really worrying to think that the financial success of the government in our country is on the basis of financial arrangements rather than economic management.
Our governments feel happy to appoint IMF, World Bank or investment banking professionals as economic chiefs of the country. They either simply ignore the important economists for these positions, or they are just interested in short term fiscal management.
It is high time that our focus on economic planning and budgets to shifted towards clear cut economic goals for developing an industrial base in the country.
We need to come up with policies that ensure a culture of entrepreneurship in the country. Income support programs cannot serve the objective of economic freedom. It is actually the facilitation of doing business and converting ideas into returns that can change the economic outlook of Pakistan.

Personality Branding (Imran khan)

Imran khan started his career as a cricketer, and was soon famous because of his championship in cricket. In every career he has pursued up till now it has been in the benefit for the country and shows his devotion and love for Pakistan. His biggest success was when in 1992 in his captaincy Pakistan won the world cup, his immense hard work efforts and leadership quality reflected in the victory of Pakistan. That was sure one of the biggest achievement and that lead a positive image in the hearts and minds of Pakistani’s world over.

Taking the same approach and a positive image in the people’s mind Imran khan started a political group named Tehreek-e-Insaf. He marketed his group and himself through the motto of  tabdilikanishan´ and through his effective and strategic management he targeted the most wanted and untapped sector of Pakistan with the approach of  Justice and Equality´.

Justice and equality is the most important factor to be used for any country to flourish. It is the biggest strength of every single developed country and Imran khan promised to bring a change and justice to every single citizen of Pakistan. In such a justice deprived economy he took the right approach to market himself and his group, which will be accepted and appreciated by people as this was one of the utmost desire and need of the Pakistani economy. His contributions made in the economy are also a big factor in his positive marketing and personality branding. Founding and establishing the biggest cancer hospital in Pakistan and treating poor people for free has immensely solved the problems of the poor people and has provided justice to them as the rich would get treatment and can afford to be treated so can be the poor. This approach taken by him has boosted up his brand image as he is showing consistency in his promises and people see him as a faithful person who is ready to donate his money to the needy for justice. This has helped him to gain trust as a brand does by providing what they have promised and staying consistent over time, this ensures customer loyalty, in the same case by doing such things people of Pakistan will be loyal to him and want him to be the next president of Pakistan. Unlike other politicians who show inconsistency and keep changing their promises, consistency has played a major role for Imran khan’s success.

Another change he is brought for the poor is the namal university chartered by Bradford university u.k., this has been an excellent effort, to give education to the people who cannot afford it, again enforcing the concept of equality and giving the poor high class education level which they can afford otherwise. All these factors have made Imran khan a superb personality and has created a high level of image of his personality like a brand has because of effective marketing strategies and trustful consistent commitments and mass loyalty.

Road to Change

Pakistan is a country that has an impeccable amount of resources and the best geographical position that anybody can think of. An Islamic state that was created on 14 August 1947 with a lot of hard work and dedication, the dream to make it what the founders thought is yet to be fulfilled. From the start of its creation till now, the nation and its citizen have gone through a number of challenges and tough situations. From the interference of the foreign powers to the kind of government that were setup along with the social, economic and natural issues we faced, anything disastrous could have occurred. However the strength and determination of the people have never let it down.

This is a country that possesses all the resources that can gain us maximum prosperity. From the sea to river, desert to plain, valley to mountain, dams to barrages, fruits and vegetables, all types of weather, every single item of use and whatever we can think of, everything is available in this land. Just what is needed to move us forward is a sincere and optimistic leader who can combine the use of labor and natural benefits in efforts for the welfare of the people keeping in mind the terms of equality. We have gone through a variety of systems in our political setup. There have been civil as well as military rulers who have served for even10 to 15 years. But the amount of progress that was made couldn’t be linked to the tenure for which they ruled since the demands and rights of people were left to be catered. The individuals of this society however have always been in an urge to do something extraordinary. In 1999 we became the First Islamic Nuclear power through the efforts of Dr. AQ Khan. It happened during the time period of former Prime minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.  That was the time when all the Anti-Pakistan forces raised fingers on us and wanted to deprive us of the nuclear tests that became a necessity to be conducted. We all were united since it was a matter of our sovereignty. That was a motivational factor for all of us and our enemies were left shocked. Similarly, the 9/11 situation wasn't handled in a proper manner and resulted in lot of one-sided decisions and socially affected the areas that were hit by it and infact the whole country.'' Simply cannot understand why our political forces are not more concerned about the people than their bank balances''. Even a literate teenager can understand that we have been made to pay in issues where we weren't even involved. West have always been in a mode of exploiting the rights of Muslims since they are afraid of them. Unfortunately, there is a strong conflict among some of the important Islamic states that makes the handling of issue very difficult and there is a great lack of unity. The amount of people affected in the war that we are fighting is rising day by day. Even if the war is conducted in our areas and our forces are heavily affected by it why aren't we selfish enough to handle it on our own terms? A lot of sacrifices are given by the armed forces and the innocent civilians who were being ordered to protect the frontiers and the lives of resident in those affected areas. Infrastructure was totally damaged and even shortage of food was viewed in some of the areas due to cut of supplies.  Nothing substantial or worth concluding is sorted out in this regard even after so much spending. Even if we are trying to initiate terms of talk or any method to create peace the Americans and their likeminded allies put restrictions on us. Then how can we rate ourselves as a sovereign nation if we don’t have the right to make our own policies and decisions? Why can’t we consider our neighbor Iran in this regard. A country that is not a nuclear power and is still trying to develop itself is in a far better situation and is standing face to face in front of their enemies. Even after so many allegations, they are standing firm. Similar is the case for North Korea. Their people are standing with the leader who is on right path for them.

It is never too late. A good nation is the one that learn from its mistakes and try to find solution to its remedies. Its high time that we care about every single individual who forms a part of this population. People who are patriotic and have feelings for the nation should be given a chance to come forward and serve them. We are not short of anything except the will. Democracy is pursuing in our country and there are very healthy signs of bringing a change through ballot. If the political situation improves, the social situation will automatically change. Unemployment, poverty leads to negative ideas and hence chaos. If we are trying to create peace in our area then obviously we are inviting more opportunity for the filling of needs. We need to help the ones worst affected so that they are not lead astray. Since their necessities are going to be handled the level of satisfaction will draw them into the progress of nation. Also we need to look at the foreign elements that are constantly trying to prick holes in the integrity of this nation. Those who are against the stability of this nation. With a change in strategy and thinking we can finish all the injustice that prevails and our system becomes strong enough to protect every individual of this nation. With the potential this country has we can become the best!

Role of media in Pakistan

     Role of media in Pakistan

                        Negative role of media

1.     Is Role of media in Pakistan totally biased?
It is biased due to one sided approach and it focuses more on commercialization than on stabilization of the country.

2.      freedom of speech
But in the name freedom of speech country’s image at international level has been negatively portrayed

3.     National interest of Pakistan and the concept of two nation theory have been literally distorted?
Yes. Reasons are many; few among them are Indian dramas, Indian shows and Programs like voice of American aired, on the contrary the importance of our religion and state that bases on two nation theory are not aired to the larger extent. During the time of Indian attacks Kasab who was caught red handed, had been declared as Pakistani by so called Geo TV. While, hundreds of Americans, Raw agents, Mossad Agents are penetrating in Baluchistan and in Afghanistan their media never claimed their presence rather defended them to all possibilities.  This factor clearly implied to the world that Pakistan is the exporter of terrorism not of peace.

4.     Why media does all this ?
Virtue is not sellable vice brings a lot of price that means the things that are comprised of goodness and of moral values do not bring money while the programs in which suicide bombers and evil things are shown that brings a lot of money. For instance, the theme of dramas which we used to watch on PTV are of good character and based on our traditional and cultural ethics but the dramas we see on rest of other Pakistani channels are apoles apart
(showing Indian culture or copying it shamelessly).

5.      Comparison of Pakistani media with BBC, CNN and Fox?
Wherever in the world a mishap occurs it is presented as Muslims did this or responsible for it.  It is worthwhile to mention here, once there was a report on bbc of which headline was Muslim terrorist attacked on Nato.
Are we peace lovers or terrorist exporters? Certainly Muslims means followers of Islam which means peace then why are we maligned or labeled as terrorist? The same role intentionally or unintentionally has been vitally exercised by Pakistani media

6.     Nature of news reporting?
50 years ago there was a provision in media ethics that dead bodies should not be printed in the newspapers. This provision is whether part of Pakistani media or not but all the day Pakistani media shows dead bodies of the people on the TV which has no doubt created the concept of volatility and insecurity. Psyche of the people has been plundered and they are left at the status of depression and callousness.

7.     Is this a type of war or has it been hijacked?
Geniuses of the world who believe more on facts and on ground realities are of the view that the current role of media in world in general and in Pakistan in particular is of psychological war of which conspiracy has been hatched by Jewish lobbies. To continue with the fact, media has been totally hijacked and dances over the tunes of the hijackers this has been confirmed by many scholars like zakir naik

        Remedial measures?

1)     There should be code of conduct that must speak of cultural dignity, traditional values safety and neutrality.

2)    Rules and Regulations of Pemra should be upgraded and whosoever uses media as anti state element or media itself falling prey to ignorance of its duties, can be made accountable.

3)     There should be independent commission that on regular basis keeps its vigilant watch over the role of media and issuance of licenses should be followed on the recommendation of the independent commission that after thorough study of the nature of channel and its future plans in black and white will direct PEMRA to issue new licenses to new channels.

4)      Biasness and affiliation with any political party of anchors should be investigated before their inductions by Intelligence bureau.

5)    There should be formation of a wing in ministry of Information that should be tasked with the assessment of news and reports and whenever any misinterpreted or fake fable is published or aired ,concerned authority’s should be liable with heavy fine.

6)    There should be formation of institutes that train media persons at least annually. In training, they must be given a thorough understanding of national interest and policies of the state.

Your Vote Counts

For the past 65 years Pakistan has been ruled by a parliementry system or under a military ruler. This is the first time in 2013 that a parliament has managed to serve 5 years in the goverment otherwise through out the history ,the military had taken over the country to bring in stability into the country. However, we Pakistanis have clearly seen that neither the army nor the Parliament system has been successful in helping Pakistan escape from its tremory .
2 main parties have been serving Pakistan since the 1970's which include the Peoples Party and The Muslim League Nawaz. Though PPP has been elected 4 times in the cabinet, they have never been able to eliminate poverty in the country. In 1973 ,Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto established the party promoting their famous slogan "Roti, Kapra, Makaan" but his rules and legislations of nationalizing 90% of the private sector distrupted the economy as a whole with only a little support in favour for the poor. Both Muslim league and Peoples party were held accountable to heavy corruption due to which their governments were dissolved twice making nothing better than just the weightage of loans from IMF. Even today Pakistan is liable to pay above $60 billion to IMF which does not seem possible seeing the current situation of the country.

Analyzing the situation, it is felt that we as Pakistanis themselves should do something if they want a change in our country. The necessary thing which needs to be done is to vote to the right people who we think can do better for the country. Hence all Pakistanis should vote to people who they think would turn out to be best not only for them but for the whole country. Electoral Rigging is one major problem in Pakistan when many vote boxes are stolen or votes are converted in favour of other parties. This is only possible when the security outside the polling booths are involved in money laundering.Tradions of strong familes in villages and their history of supporting a particular party is also a major reason for the same parties being elected. Secondly a strong corruption board should be established under the directorship of non parliamentry citizens who would have the authority to punish anyone indulged in corruption scandals. There is daily corruption of Rs 10-12 Billion in Pakistan. Another problem lies in the tax collection system .The country follows the regressive tax system at the moment where the rich and elite are exemted from paying taxes while the poor and the middle class pay. Our media has played an important role by showing and proclaiming the wrong where as the the supreme court has also taken action against various issues in Pakistan such as the Shahzeb Khan murder case. In the end whats important is that the youth should participate in social charity events such  and support any social cause in the country.Charity begings from home, . The conclusion would include that an effective corruption board should be established with a proper tax system to allocate the budget properly. Enough revenue being generated for the country would improvise all sectors by a far extent.

Thrashing Pakistan’s Economy- by Aali Ahmad

There is no second opinion about the worsening economic situation of Pakistan as local and foreign economic experts have been shouting about the government’s ruinous policies throughout its tenure. Pakistani Rupee has so much devalued that, for the first time in history, it is less than 100th fraction of a US Dollar value. Pakistan’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has been stumbling around as low as 3 for last five years. We were once determined to say good bye to International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) evil loan plans but now the situation is that we are begging for loans but monetary pool has even ceased it ongoing programs, thanks to government’s inability to do the required reforms.
It is harsh but true that, repeating its history, Pakistan People’s Party’s current tenure has also been dreadful for the country’s overall economic condition. While it is quite known fact that PPP’s government has never been able to improve or even sustain the Pakistan’s economy, still the question remains, why?
Well, the answer is callous but once again factual simply that the PPP’s overall leadership is incapable and its policies defective as it is unable to own a single major reform program or any development project for country since Z.A Bhutto laid ground for Pakistan’s atomic program back in late 1980s of which none can snatch the honor for initiating Pakistan’s nuclear program from it, still that needed a consistent policy for leaders of almost two decades.

But again, even a leader worth of Z.A Bhutto could not do a single wonder for Pakistan’s economy rather his socialist policies even curtailed the fruits of previous Ayub Khan’s era and deteriorated country’s economic structure by implementing nationalization policy. Experts say that some (if not many) of Pakistani industries could well have been challenging TATA, BIRLA and Reliance of modern India, had that awful policy not executed. One can imagine the amount of price Pakistan paid for the Bhutto’s course of action as, at that time, Pakistan’s economy was way ahead of the then Indian wobbly economy.
Also Benazir Bhutto’s two eras were not at all productive for Pakistan as it were marked by severe corruption and illegal and political appointments in government institutions. We can, at least, owe the destruction of Pakistan International Airline (PIA), Pakistan Railways, and Pakistan Steel Mills to PPP’s periodical tenures. PPP’s reign was also shadowed by the infamous shift of Pakistan’s power sector dependency to costly and foreign-dependent Thermal Power Plants from cheap, effective, self dependent and more feasible Hydro Power Plants. The nation is made to pay the price to date indebted by such a dreadful single decision. As a matter of fact BB’s husband and currently Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari emerged as Mr. 10 percent from that particular power scandal followed by Augusta Submarine tittle-tattle.

Following olden times, recent Asif Ali Zardari led PPP’s rule was one of its own kind in terms of corruption, plunder and wickedness. Current rule is marked with sleaziness immorality and fraud. This rule has trailed the same track of political appointments in already deteriorating public sector institutions and neglecting any major reforms in any single department. One can name a list of economic threats imposed today only because of PPP’s flawed policies starting from energy sector destruction, inflation, foreign reserve liquefaction, lack of investor’s trust, ever increasing domestic and foreign loans, devaluing currency terrorism and many more.

So there is somewhere something problematic within very PPP itself as none of its tenures was prolific for Pakistan. For an instance, if we even side line Zardari, Z.A Bhutto and BB were not at all themselves incapable yet they were unable to deliver. So, all I concluded was that PPP always lacked a full time economic expert team which could guide it in right direction. The menace with two late Bhuttos was that they fancied themselves as the “Great Economists”, however, all both of them delivered was nothing but misery to people. Well, if his great politician wife and even greater politician father in law made same mistake, how could Asif Ali Zardari not repeat it as he also did not went along a single economic team by continuously changing finance ministers. If the actions were same how you could expect different results…!

Saving Pakistan

It’s a tale of sixty five sad years, a story of dismay, disloyalty and disparity. So many innocent lives were sacrificed to make the Islamic Republic State of become independent and sovereign. But as the time went on, slowly and gradually, joys of freedom became sorrows of slavery, dreams of prosperity became nightmares of poverty and selfishness, greed and injustice took its place

For four times the constitution has ripped apart by the notorious army dictators. When democracy was given its turn the corrupt and incompetent politicians looted the country’s wealth.
However the hope is still not lost. Pakistan still has lots of potential to stand up again and let the world know that we are to be considered a nation with pride, a nation with honor and a nation with self esteem. We have the ability to become of the great nations ever existed and it’s not some fairy tale I am talking about its quite possible but we have to take considerable actions to do so.
In our country the system which going on is a parliamentary system and it is an obstacle towards the wellbeing of our country. It has given the right to the wrong doers to take control and rule

the masses. We need uniformity in our system through which we can treat every province and every state equally. The decisions have to be the same all over the country and with so many different political parties working at the same time for different interests it is not possible.
The party would intend to bring equality and justice to all, in the country. Resources will be equally divided. There would be no class difference, everyone will have equal and rightful share in the state.  As an Islamic state, Pakistan, the ruling governemt will follow the guidance of Holy Phrophet (P.B.U.H) and the way he ran the Islamic State.

Balance of Power

Why is atomic power portrayed to be all that is rooted to be evil in the world? Various international efforts have been working for the abolition of nuclear bombs for the last couple of decades, their cause is correct. To safe guard human rights and human lives but there is a lot more to the atomic game then actually physically using it.

When we completely shut out our minds and merely look at history, the first thing that comes to mind in world war and Japan. And then we remember the horrific events at Nagasaki and Hiroshima where the death toll rate was in hundreds and thousands from direct killings and radiation. But for a country like Pakistan we need nuclear power.

Well, let’s look at it this way, a developing nation like ours with the strategic geographical placement that it has in Asia; our neighbors are not exactly our best friends. Then there is the current war on terror, the USA wants our head on a platter for their own agenda. So when I say we need nuclear power I mean to say that we need them as a deterrent and nothing more. Nuclear is a brutal form of war, thus before someone decides to launch a missile they’ll think twice.

The world hegemony, i.e. The USA constantly banters at the countries that are non-signatory with the non-proliferation treaty; funnily enough they are the only ones in history that have used it in the last century killing thousands of civilians. Currently, the USA has a problem with Iran and North Korea and whether they have nuclear or not, while ironically on the side at the same time Israel continues to be a non-signatory and keeps building nuclear without having anyone to answer too.

So we should ask ourselves is it really a bad thing to protect our country in a world where there is no understanding of sovereignty and statehood. Just look at what happened to Iraq and Afghanistan; they didn’t have the right defense mechanism to ward off intruders.  Whereas Pakistan maintain that balance of power through the nuclear program.

Nuclear power is also multipurpose, it is not only a strategic military tool but it is a great way to produce heat and electricity which Pakistan really needs. Thus any further R&D in atomic power can only be good for us.
